What We Collect

When you sign up for FetchUp, we collect information you provide directly:

• Account info: Your name and email address.
• Dog profiles: Breed, age, size, temperament, behaviors, and training history you share with us.
• Training data: Sessions you log, exercises you complete, notes you add.
• Chat history: Your conversations with the FetchUp AI assistant.
• Payment info: Handled entirely by Stripe — we never store your credit card number. We do store your subscription status and billing history.

We also collect some technical data automatically: your IP address, browser type, device type, and which pages you visit. This is standard practice and helps us keep the service running and secure.

How We Use It

We use your data to do three things:

1. Run the service. Your dog's profile and training data power your personalized plan. Your email is how we authenticate your account and send you updates.
2. Improve over time. We analyze anonymized, aggregated usage data to understand which features help and which don't. This informs how we build and evolve FetchUp.
3. Communicate with you. We send transactional emails — magic link logins, billing receipts, plan updates — and may occasionally send product news or tips. You can opt out of promotional emails anytime.

We never sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties. Your dog's photo, training progress, or chat history is not a product.

Data Sharing

We share your data only in these situations:

• Service providers: We use Stripe for payments, Postmark for email, and cloud infrastructure to run FetchUp. These companies only have access to what's needed to do their job, and they're contractually required to keep it secure and private.
• Legal requirements: If a court, law, or government authority requires us to disclose data, we will — after reviewing the request to make sure it's legitimate.
• Business transfer: If FetchUp is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the new company under the same privacy commitments.

We do not share your data for marketing or advertising purposes.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data. Specifically, you can:

• Access your data: Request a copy of everything we have about you or your dog by emailing hello@fetchup.dog.
• Correct it: If something's wrong, email us and we'll fix it.
• Delete it: Delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We fulfill deletion requests within 30 days.
• Export it: Request an export of your training data in a standard format.
• Opt out: Unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the link in each email. Transactional emails (billing, login) are required for the service.

If you're in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR. Contact us and we'll help you exercise them.

Children's Privacy

FetchUp is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with their data, please contact us at hello@fetchup.dog and we will delete it.
