No. FetchUp is designed around common household items and minimal equipment. Most exercises use treats, a standard leash, and whatever you already have at home. If an exercise requires anything beyond basic supplies (like a specific toy or a clicker), we'll tell you clearly before you start.

No expensive training equipment, no special collars, no e-collars. We're strictly force-free.

When you sign up, you'll answer a short assessment about your dog — breed, age, size, temperament, and the specific behaviors you want to work on. Our AI uses that information to generate a structured 4-week training plan tailored to your dog.

Each week has daily sessions with specific exercises, duration guidance, and coaching notes. As you log your sessions, FetchUp tracks your progress and adjusts the plan — moving faster through skills your dog has mastered and slowing down when something needs more practice.

All of them. We support purebreds, mixed breeds, rescues with unknown heritage — any dog is welcome. Our AI adapts recommendations based on breed characteristics (e.g., higher energy breeds get more activity-focused plans), but every plan is ultimately shaped by your individual dog's needs, not breed stereotypes.

On the free plan you get 5 messages per month. Pro gives you unlimited access. Chat history is saved so you can reference past advice anytime.

Puppies: Yes! We have specific guidance for dogs 8–20 weeks old. Young puppies learn differently than adults — sessions are shorter, exercises are simpler, and we factor in vaccination schedules and bite inhibition. Just be honest about your puppy's age in the assessment so we can build the right plan.

Older dogs: Absolutely. Older dogs can absolutely learn new behaviors — it just takes a bit more patience sometimes. Our plans adapt to your dog's physical capabilities and energy level. If your senior dog has mobility issues or fatigue, we'll adjust accordingly.

FetchUp handles common behavioral challenges like leash pulling, jumping, recall issues, counter-surfing, and basic obedience. Our AI will give you structured guidance for these.

For severe issues — human-directed aggression, severe anxiety, resource guarding that poses safety risks — we recommend working with a certified behaviorist (CPDT-KA or CAAB) alongside FetchUp. We won't pretend our app replaces professional behavioral intervention for complex cases, and we'll tell you when something looks like it needs more than we can provide.

You can cancel anytime from your account settings — no hoops to jump through, no phone calls required. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period, and we don't refund partially-used months. After cancellation, your plan and chat history remain accessible (read-only) until your billing period ends.

Yes. Your data — including your dog's profile, training progress, and chat history — is private and never sold to third parties. We use it to run the service and improve your experience, not to advertise to you.

YouTube videos are static. FetchUp is dynamic. With a YouTube video, you watch once, get generic advice, and figure out yourself how to apply it to your specific dog. There's no adaptation, no progress tracking, no accountability.

FetchUp generates a plan specifically for your dog, tracks your sessions, adjusts difficulty as your dog improves, and answers your specific questions in context. It's the difference between a cookbook recipe (generic) and a personal chef who knows your tastes (personalized).

FetchUp requires an internet connection to generate and adjust your plan (our AI runs on our servers). However, once a session is loaded, you can complete the training exercises offline — just follow your plan. Session logs can be synced when you're back online.

The mobile app caches your current week's plan for offline access. Chat requires an internet connection.
